Ajaxora

The project

Ajaxora (pronounced as "ai-yax-ora" as in Estonian) is a simple web-based multiple database browser. Intended for developers not dealing directly with database development but using it as a ready backend for their applications.

History

2006/2007

The first verion of Ajaxora was developed in the scope of Winter of Code - student software development competition in Estonia. Initial idea belongs to Swedbank (formerly known as Hansapank) Estonian IT department, the aim was to create easy to use Oracle database browser (not a development tool) running in a web browser and available for free.

2007/2010

Unfortunately active development was stopped in May 2007 right after finishing of Winter of Code where Ajaxora team was among second proze winners. After a year of inactivity there were sporadic attempts to reanimate the project.

2010

And since January 2010 Ajaxora team is back to live, still not on so regular basis but we with a new attitude and ambitious plans.
